Flippin' hull

 

My ceiling sling seems to work, and after scraping and a preliminary sand of the hull, I lifted it and flipped it over. This also gave me a chance to sweep up the floor!

I will now be able to start on the deck, although I will definitely need some more strips.

 All the panels wired together and ends of the sheer camps glued. Mistake 2...I trimmed these before making sure that the beam was the correct 33 inches, so had to make a couple of small wedges to infill. I also had to take the table off my bandsaw to make enough room... I had some fun with time lapse on my phone too...

A small change of plan

  I was just starting to fit the deck when it occurred to me to count the nails provided. The number in the bag was fewer than I'll need, so I have contacted Fyne and they will be sending more. In the meantime, I decided to paint the inside of the forward and aft compartments. In other developments,  I have booked to go on a 5 day sea kayak course in Scotland in Spring next year...very excited!

The third coat

 Here is the third coat of epoxy going onto the hull. The glass weave has disappeared from the flat bottom, but there is still a little visible on the sides - I might need a forth coat there. I am using a small foam paint roller, and the epoxy goes on very thinly - a good thing, I think.
